This weekend trip was a great collaboration between the Pasadena and West Covina Buddhist Temples.
The bus picked up passengers from Pasadena Buddhist Temple and West Covina Buddhist Temple on Friday morning. Everyone brought something to share...so there was plenty of snacks and beverages (some included lime wedges) on the trip to Las Vegas.
I think everyone had a wonderful trip. It is great to have someone like, James, our driver maneuver around all that traffic on the way home!

- Frank had organized games to keep us all occupied...so we played almost 10-games of Bingo!
- Frank also had us guesstimate the arrival times to Barstow Station and then Las Vegas.
- The last event of the ride was the Horse Race Game organized by Frank. He had us split up into 6 teams. He had made horse head "game pieces" which each team named and decorated. The object of the game was to get your team's horse around the bus twice and land on the finish line. Frank had 2 sponge dice, the first die we rolled determined the horse number that got to move and the second die determined how many seats the horse would move. So it became a pretty wild event since folks were shouting for their horse numbers and moves. BUT Frank had a "TASK" at the certain points around the "track" so at one point, he handed out 6-pieces of origami paper with the task instructions for the group...so we had to all fold origami cranes...so some folks were being taught how to fold a crane in this task! The second task was to fold a paper balloon.....so it gave some of the horses a chance to catch up with the front-runners....
